Vegetable-Tanned Calf Leather

Rosa is made from vegetable-tanned calf leather. This tanning method uses tanning agents of plant origin, including tannins extracted from bark and roots.

This describes the specific tanning process rather than relying on broad terms such as “eco leather” or general environmental claims.

The calf leather has a soft and supple feel. Leather is a natural material, so variations in grain, surface and colour may occur and form part of its characteristic appearance.

Washed and Hand-Waxed

After production, Rosa undergoes the manufacturer's characteristic leather finishing process in Italy.

The bag is washed, dried and finally waxed by hand. This creates its particularly soft feel and characteristic lived-in vintage appearance.

Slight variations in surface and colour form part of this finish and can give each bag an individual character.
