Ruben is a spacious leather briefcase designed for the office, meetings and travel. Two main compartments, a separate laptop compartment and several smaller pockets keep your laptop, documents and personal essentials organised.

Measuring approx. 38 × 28 × 12 cm, Ruben offers considerably more storage space than a slim document bag. The weight is approx. 1.4 kg.

The compartment layout is designed for everyday work. The smaller front main compartment opens with an all-round zip.

For the Office, Meetings and Travel

Ruben can be carried traditionally by the top handle or with the removable shoulder strap.

The adjustable shoulder strap is made from cotton webbing and has a maximum stated carrying height of approx. 68 cm.

A removable trolley sleeve is also integrated into the back of the bag, allowing Ruben to be conveniently attached to rolling luggage when travelling.

Quick-release fasteners provide easy access to the bag.

Waxed Cow Leather in Smokey Brown

Ruben is made from cow leather in Smokey Brown. The leather is waxed and polished, giving it its characteristic surface and distinctive, subtly varying brown tone.

The natural grain of the leather remains visible. Variations in structure, colour and surface are part of the material and may differ slightly from bag to bag.

With regular use, the surface may gradually change and develop its own individual character.

Cotton Lining

The interior of Ruben is lined with robust striped cotton fabric. The lighter lining also makes it easier to see the contents of the two main compartments and creates a deliberate contrast with the darker leather.

We cannot reliably document the use of organic cotton for this model. We therefore describe the interior material exclusively as cotton.

Ruben was developed by manbefair and manufactured according to our specifications.

The starting point was the idea of a classic leather briefcase with additional storage space and practical organisation for everyday work. During further development, we focused in particular on the two-main-compartment layout, a separate laptop section, practical interior and exterior pockets and suitability for business travel.

The result is a business bag that combines classic leather design with features we specifically adapted to everyday professional use.

Our design was implemented by a leather goods manufacturer in Kolkata, India, with whom we have worked on the production of various manbefair models.

Ruben combines our own design and functional specifications with the manufacturer’s experience in leather goods production.

Care

First remove dust and light dirt carefully with a soft, dry cloth.

As the leather is already waxed and polished, additional leather care products should be used sparingly. Leather care products may alter the colour and surface appearance. Always test the product first on a small, inconspicuous area.
